Monthly Scooter Rental in Chiang Mai
Staying in Chiang Mai for a month or longer? A monthly rental works out far cheaper than paying by the day, and you get the same bike for the whole stay. We deliver it to you, keep an eye on its servicing, and sort things out quickly if anything goes wrong.

What’s included
Helmets. Up to two helmets come with the bike, in sizes S, M or L.
Oil changes. We keep track of when your scooter’s oil is due. When a change is needed, we’ll let you know and get it done for you, so you don’t have to find a garage or remember the mileage yourself.
Breakdowns and accidents. If something goes wrong with the bike during your rental, we swap it for one of our reserve bikes, get yours fixed, and bring it back to you as soon as it’s ready. You’re not left without a scooter while it’s in the workshop.
Delivery. We deliver free anywhere in central Chiang Mai, and collect the bike from you at the end. See free scooter delivery for how handover works.
Which scooter for a month?
For one person getting around Chiang Mai, a 125cc like the Honda Click is fine and it’s the cheapest option. If you want more comfort and better suspension, go for a 155cc such as the NMAX or Aerox. We recommend a 155 for couples, and for anyone planning to ride up into the hills or take trips out of Chiang Mai. Our guide to which scooter to rent goes through it in more detail.
If you’re planning long rides with two people and luggage, the Forza and XMAX are the most comfortable bikes we have.
Deposit and payment
The refundable deposit is ฿2,000 for scooters up to 155cc and ฿3,000 for the 300cc Forza and XMAX. We normally take a cash deposit, but an original passport may also be accepted as security.
You can pay in cash, by Thai QR payment, Wise or Revolut. We don’t accept credit cards.
How to book a monthly rental
Message us on WhatsApp with:
- a photo of your passport
- a Google Maps pin for delivery
- how many helmets you need (up to two) and the sizes
- how you’d like to pay
- the date and time you’d like the bike
We’ll confirm availability and a handover time. Handovers are between 10am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and we can sometimes arrange another time if you need it.
